Please find below our procedures and my policies. These extracts form part of a full policies document that will be provided to registered clients. These will be reviewed on an annual basis as a minimum but will also be reviewed as necessary such as if there are any changes to the setting.
These policies form part of the contracts that are entered into with the families I work with. If you have any questions regarding them please do not hesitate to contact me.
Accident, Incident & Emergency Policy
All information in my accident/incident and medication books are CONFIDENTIAL and are kept in a safe place. All details that are kept on record are saved for a minimum of 2 years.

Health and safety

Medication - Administration

Admissions and Fees
It is my policy to ensure that parents are advised of the fees that I charge and what these fees include and exclude. I aim to make my setting accessible to children and families from the local community.

Inclusion
I provide a range of challenging and enjoyable opportunities for each child to learn and develop to their full potential, taking into account age and stage of development, gender, ethnicity, religion, home language, and ability.

Food and Drink
It is my policy to provide children with healthy, balanced and nutritious meals, snacks and drinks. Those responsible for the preparation and handling of food will be competent to do so.

Uncollected Children
It is my policy to provide care for your child during contracted hours. The procedure below is to be followed if you fail to collect your child at the appointed time.

Animals and Pets
I own the following pets: 2 x cats, 2 x Turtles, 1 x Crested Gecko, 1 x Degu and numerous fish. As the owner of pets, I have written this policy to share information about how I protect children from harm when there are pets in the house.

Behaviour
As a registered childminder I recognise the need to set out reasonable and appropriate limits to manage the behaviour of children in my care. All parents will receive or have access to a copy of my Behaviour Policy.

Illness and Infectious Diseases

Safeguarding
As a childminder, I am the lead safeguarding practitioner for my setting.
My first responsibility and priority is towards the children in my care.

Behaviour

Smoking
I will ensure that:
No-one smokes in any room where the children in my care are present or about to be present, either in my home or in any other setting.

Complaints
